Care Guide

A little knowledge goes a long way.

Four fundamentals that keep nearly every houseplant happy.

Water with intention

Most houseplants prefer the top inch of soil to dry out before drinking again. When in doubt, wait a day.

Light is everything

Bright, indirect light suits most tropicals. South-facing windows with a sheer curtain are gold.

Steady temperature

Aim for 65–80°F (18–27°C). Keep plants away from cold drafts and hot vents.

Humidity helps

Group plants together, use a pebble tray, or run a humidifier. Leaves will reward you.

Common questions

Yellow leaves: what do they mean?+

Usually overwatering, sometimes underwatering. Check soil moisture two inches down before reaching for the watering can.

When should I repot?+

Most plants enjoy a fresh pot every 1–2 years, ideally in spring. Go up just one pot size.

My plant arrived a little tired. Help!+

Travel is stressful! Give it bright, indirect light and a small drink. Most plants perk up within a week. If not, contact us.
